Painting Time lecture

This talk will explore one of the most compelling aspects of painting; how artists over the centuries have faced the challenge of representing time in all its different dimensions - experiential, physical, biological and spiritual - in a medium that is characterised by stillness. We will explore how artists including Leonardo da Vinci, Edvard Munch, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso have all tackled this troublesome problem.
BCU: Supporting future horologists

The Clockmakers' Charity was delighted to be able to respond to a request from Birmingham City University to contribute £15,000 to the costs of a new horology workshop at the school. Student numbers have expanded exponentially in recent years.
