02 November 2022
The highlight of the Company's calendar, the Livery Dinner was held on Wednesday 2 November at the magnificent Goldsmiths' Hall. Apart from the opportunity to enjoy the event and the company of members and their guests the Dinner provides an occasion to recognise the achievements and contributions of individuals. Among those being recognised on the night included:
Lorenzo Pica Ciamarra was awarded the 2022 Clockmakers UCLO prize. This prize is awarded to the student who has achieved the highest average grade in ULO-based courses over the span of their degree.
The Poole cup is awarded to a student for outstanding merit in their BHI examinations. The 2021 prize was awarded to Morgan Pugh and Dr Andrew Strangeway.
The Master’s medal, awarded each year to someone who has contributed significantly to the life of the Company, was awarded to Court Assistant Robert Lamb, the longest serving volunteer guide for the Clockmakers’ Museum. Since the beginning of 2019, and with the help of the Volunteer department at the Science Museum, the Clockmakers have been gradually building up a team of its own volunteers to offer regular guided tours of the Museum. Robert has been there from the start, always delivering his tours with great cheer.
